Dr. Jeremy A. Beller

Welcome to my personal website. I am currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Early Sapiens Behaviour (SapienCE) in the Department of Archaeology at the University of Bergen, Norway. I am also a researcher for Shaping European Research Leaders for Marine Sustainability (SEAS), a subset of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. This website offers key information of my past and on-going research, teaching, and community activities.

My research focuses on the techno-economies of hunter-gatherer and early urban societies, by reconstructing patterns of human-landscape interaction, material utilisation, and technological development. I specialise in lithic and faunal analysis, which allow me to generate data needed to investigate the aforementioned behavioural domains. Geographically, these pursuits have taken me to Canada, Greece, Israel, Jordan, Latvia, and South Africa.
