Dr. Jeremy A. Beller
Welcome to my personal website. It provides key information of my past and on-going research, teaching, and community activities.
Currently, I am a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow at the SFF Centre for Early Sapiens Behaviour (SapienCE) in the Department of Archaeology at the University of Bergen, Norway. I am also affiliated with Shaping European Research Leaders for Marine Sustainability (SEAS), part of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. Additionally, I serve as a Research Member in the Earth Materials and Archaeometry Center at the University of Manitoba, Canada.
My research focuses on the technoeconomies of hunter-gatherer-fishers and early urban societies by reconstructing patterns of human-landscape interaction, material utilisation, and technological development. I combine lithic and faunal analyses to generate evidence to investigate these behavioural domains. Geographically, these pursuits have taken me to Canada, Greece, Israel, Jordan, Latvia, and South Africa.
